Fusion PPT conducted a thorough examination of the benefits and challenges of virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI) in relation to duplicating a local desktop and competing on cost.  Although still targeted to a niche market, cloud-based VDI has yet to prove itself over the last decade.

“VDI and cloud computing have matured significantly as desktop computing has been revitalized as Desktop as a Service,” commented Magrogan.
